Guest Guide

When should I arrive?

We recommend arriving early in the day on May 1, 2026 to settle in before the welcome festivities that evening. We’ll be arriving as early as April 26 and would love to see you if you choose to start your vacation a little sooner.

What is the dress code?

Wedding Day Attire
Black tie preferred. We invite you to wear elegant, deep tones such as black, navy, charcoal, or burgundy.
Ladies: Floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses in rich, timeless fabrics (satin, chiffon, etc.).
Gentlemen: A tuxedo with a black bow tie is highly preferred. A sharp black suit and bow tie is an acceptable alternative.
Please avoid light or bright colors—they’re perfect for the welcome event!

Welcome Event Attire – Sunset Sail
Resort chic! Think tropical: flowy sundresses, linen sets, bold prints, and festive colors inspired by the Aruban sunset. This is your chance to dress breezy, bright, and fun for golden hour on the water.

What is a color palette?

A color palette is a curated selection of colors we’re asking guests to dress within to help create a cohesive and elegant look for the day. While we want everyone to feel like themselves, we kindly ask that you honor the palette—it will truly elevate the atmosphere (and the photos!). The palette will be shared with the formal invitation.

Who can I bring? Will I have a plus one?

Your invitation will indicate exactly who is invited. We wish we could celebrate with everyone, but due to space and planning considerations, this will be an adults-only event and plus-ones are limited to those specifically named on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

What events should I RSVP to?

When formal invitations are sent, RSVP links will be provided for the wedding, the welcome sunset sail, and any additional events. Please be sure to RSVP to each event individually once the RSVP page opens on the website.

Will the ceremony be on the beach? Is this an outdoor event?

Yes, the ceremony will take place on the beach just before sunset. While it’s an outdoor setting, there will be platforms placed over the sand to keep formal attire and footwear comfortable and clean.

Where will the reception be?

The reception will be held on the one-of-a-kind Akira Back rooftop at The St. Regis, offering expansive views of the Aruban coast and helmed by Michelin-starred chef Akira Back. After the ceremony, guests will be guided by staff and escorted via a dedicated elevator to the Akira Back Rooftop for cocktail hour and the evening celebration.

Are there group rates or room blocks?

Yes! We’ve reserved a block of rooms at The St. Regis Aruba with a special group rate. You can find the booking link in the Accommodations section above.

Can I extend my stay?

Yes! If you're booking through our room block at The St. Regis, the group rate will be honored for up to three days before the first night of the block and three days after the last night. For longer stays or additional requests, feel free to contact the hotel directly—they may be able to accommodate on a case-by-case basis.

Will there be transportation between hotels if i am not staying on property?

No, unfortunately the hotels are unable to provide event-specific transportation. However, taxis are plentiful—especially at major hotels. During busy times, there may be slight delays, so we recommend planning ahead and checking in with your hotel’s front desk or concierge for the best way to arrange timely transport.

Do I need to rent a car?

It’s not necessary for most guests. Taxis are readily available, and many hotels are within walking distance of restaurants and events. However, if you do rent a car, parking will be available at the hotel. **Those guests staying in an Airbnb or VRBO rental may find it slightly more convenient to rent a car.

What’s the weather like in Aruba?

Aruba is warm and sunny year-round with a light breeze. Expect temps around the mid-80s — pack light layers, sunscreen, and sunglasses!

Will my phone work in Aruba?

Most U.S. carriers offer international plans — we recommend checking with your provider before traveling. Wi-Fi is also widely available.

Travel

We’re so grateful you made the trip to celebrate with us. Whether it’s your first time or a familiar favorite, we’re thrilled to share this special place—and this moment—with you.

Some things you should know:

Entry Requirements
U.S. citizens don’t need a visa — just a valid passport. You'll also fill out a short online ED (Embarkation/Disembarkation) card before arrival.

Currency
The local currency is the Aruban Florin, but U.S. dollars are accepted almost everywhere. No need to exchange cash. Should you need additional cash while you are on the island, the hotels can assist and most have ATMs available and charge a typical fee of $10 to $15 USD.

Transportation
Taxis are easy and safe — just note they don’t use meters. Prices are fixed by zone, and most hotels can help you arrange one. No Uber or Lyft here! **Important - Most taxis also do not accept credit/debit but accept USD.

Weather
It’s sunny year-round with a breeze that makes it feel perfect — but don’t be fooled, the sun is strong. Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.

Water
Aruba has some of the cleanest drinking water in the world — safe to drink straight from the tap!

Wi-Fi & Outlets
Wi-Fi is widely available, and Aruba uses U.S.-style outlets (110V), so no adapter needed.

Dress Code
Island casual rules the day — think sundresses, sandals, and linen shirts. Even at nice restaurants, relaxed resort wear is perfectly fine.

Language
Most locals speak English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento. Everyone is warm and welcoming — a simple “bon bini” means “welcome” if you want to try a local phrase!
